Our patients start to feel relief and notice muscle improvements just a few days after injections. Every patient’s treatment experience is unique, however, so treatment results and timelines will vary.
Shortly after receiving the injections, you might experience some mild pain, redness, and a little swelling at the rejection site. This is totally normal and will resolve on its own.
Botox® and Xeomin are both temporary treatments, so you will want to return to our office for your next dose every 3-6 months depending on your specific case of TMJ or your gummy smile.
Both BOTOX® and Xeomin are non-surgical and non-invasive treatments, so there is typically no issue returning to your regular activities after your appointment. Just remember to avoid touching or rubbing the injection sites to avoid spreading the injection to surrounding muscles.Â
